Community Transportation
is an important tool in remaining an independent member of your community.
About CTA-NW
The Community Transportation Association of the Northwest (CTA-NW) is a professional membership association of organizations and individuals committed to improving options for people who need rides. We want to improve transportation options in both rural and urban settings.
Our goal is to support the funding and provision of easy-to-access transportation resources to the general public as well as those with special transportation needs: seniors, those with disabilities, people seeking training and employment, and children — or for anyone who wants access to transportation necessary to carry on the activities of daily living.
CTA-NW members work together and in collaboration with other organizations and state and federal agencies to:
- Educate the public, policy makers, legislators, city and county officials and others about community transportation issues
- Act as a clearinghouse for the discussion and promotion of issues that will enhance service to passengers who use community transportation
- Coordinate specialized trainings of interest to our members
- Provide technical assistance to our members
- Provide peer to peer assistance and support to our members
